When the Scorecard starts you should choose the first dealer: North, East, South, and West. Do so by tapping the name of the player. These names can be changed by long pressing on them and tapping Rename.
Tap Bid. Bidding starts with the player to the left of the dealer and proceeds clockwise. Tap the number of tricks that player wishes to take. Then the next, the next, and the next. The Name of the current bidding player is at the top of the screen and the prior bids are at the bottom. After the hand has been played tap Score.
If there are no bids of Nil or Blind Nil tapping Score will ask how many tricks Team 1 got (North/South), the rest automatically go to Team 2. If there is a Nil it will ask how many tricks the Nil bid got, then how many his/her teammate got. If there is not a Nil bid on the other team then the rest of the tricks go to them. If there is a Nil on the other team as well it will ask how many tricks the other Nil got and the rest automatically go to the other Nil’s teammate.
By Default, Nils are worth 50 and Blind Nils are worth 100 and any tricks that a Nil bidder receives are sandbags.
No Overs: Overtricks (extra tricks won) don’t count at all. Neither as points for you nor sandbags.
Double Over: If a team takes twice or more tricks than they bid then they are set. Bags count regularly (depending on No Overs).
Double Back: This option is enabled by Double Over. Does getting twice the tricks as the number bid set the team once (Off) or twice (On).
Bags Count: When a team collects 10 bags they lose 100 points. This options dictates whether the 10 points received from the bags are kept or discarded.
For example, a team has 399 points and wins a bid of 5 by taking 7 tricks (52 points). When this option is Off the result is 390 + 50 = 440 where the bags add up to 11. The penalty removes 10 from the bags and 100 from the score: 440 – 100 = 340 and 11 – 10 = 1. The final score will then be the game points plus the bags or 341.
If this option is On then the 10 points are not removed for the bags leaving 340 + 11 = 351. So the game points are now 350 with 1 bag.
Nil Bags Count: In the situation where a player on a team bids Nil (or Blind Nil) but takes at least one trick. Are those tricks bags (Off) or do they count toward making the teams bid (On).
For example, North and South have 362 points. North bids Nil and South bids 5. North takes one trick and South takes 4. If this option is On then North lost their nil but the team made the 5 tricks that they bid. 50 for the bid and -50 (default) for the loss of the nil. A total of 0 points for that hand and 362 points after that hand.
If this option is Off then North still lost there nil (-50) but North’s single trick is counted as a bag and not toward South’s bid. Therefore, South gets set as well. A total of -100 points and one bag for that hand and 263 points after that hand.
Progressive Bags: When enabled the first 10 sandbags will penalize you 100 points, the next 10 sandbags will penalize you 200 points, next 300 points, and so on.
Enable Blind Bidding: Can teams make blind bids at all.
Blind Nils: Can a person bid Blind Nil. (More blind options are coming soon)
Must Be Trailing: Does a team have to be behind in order to bid blind.
Trailing By: The minimum number of points behind a team has to be in order to make blind bids. Default is 100 if Must Be Trailing is On.
When enabled any bid of 10 by a team will be considered a 10-4-200 bid. If the team gets 10 then the team scores 200 points.
Must Be Exact: If On then the team must acquire exactly 10 tricks to get the bonus. More than 10 is a set of negative 200 points.
11-4-220: Same as 10-4-200 except the bid is 11 and the score will be 220. Must Be Exact effects this bid in the same way.
12-4-240: Same as 10-4-200 except the bid is 12 and the score will be 240. Must Be Exact effects this bid in the same way.
Nil Bid: The number of points awarded for making a nil bid. Default is 50.
Blind Nil Bid: The number of points awarded for making a blind nil bid. Default is 100.
Nil Bid: The number of points lost for not making a nil bid. Default is 50.
Blind Nil Bid: The number of points lost for not making a blind nil bid. Default is 100.
